Planning Commission, Chairman / Zoning Board of Appeals, Chairman
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) serves as a quasi-judicial body that hears and decides matters relating to the application of the zoning ordinance, such as a variance from an ordinance standard, an appeal of a zoning official’s decision or an interpretation of the ordinance.
The ZBA comprises three members and one alternate, who the Township Board appoints. One member is from the Planning Commission, and one is a Township Trustee. Members must be objective, fair, and consistent when reviewing applications and requests.
